                               New C Share issue



     allots 7,883,669 New C Shares in respect of the Offer for Subscription





The Board of Close Technology & General VCT is pleased to announce that
7,883,669 New 'C'  Shares have been allotted under the Offer for Subscription
pursuant to the prospectus dated 7 November 2005 taking the total fundraising to
£14,373,303.  Up to 35,000,000 New C Shares are being offered to the public
under the Offer.



Dealings in the New C Shares allotted in respect of the Offer will commence on 6
March 2006.   Application has already been made to the UK Listing Authority and
to the London Stock Exchange for these shares to be admitted to the Official
List.
