Close Technology & General VCT PLC ('the Company') confirms that the allotment
of a further 23,300 Ordinary Shares in the Company at a price of 107p per share
which was announced on 1 March 2002 was an issue for cash at a 5% premium to net
asset value with three investors. The proceeds of the issue will be invested in
accordance with the Company's stated investment policy.
