               White Nile Limited ('White Nile' or 'the Company')


With regard to the news release appointing Mr. Philip Ward as Chief Operations
Officer dated 7th November 2005, RNS number 7125T, the Company wishes to make
the following clarification. On advice from Lundin Petroleum AB, Lundin Sudan BV
was not bought out by Petronas Carigali White Nile (5B) Ltd in May 2003, as
stated in the release.  The assets and business of Lundin Sudan BV were acquired
by Petronas Carigali White Nile (5B) Ltd in a transaction which was announced in
April 2003 and completed in June 2003.  Lundin Sudan BV remains an indirect,
wholly-owned subsidiary of Lundin Petroleum AB.



In addition, prior to the above transaction, Mr. Ward held the position of
Finance/Administration Director and Commercial Manager for Lundin Sudan BV but
was not on the board of directors as the title might suggest.  Following the
acquisition of the assets and business of Lundin Sudan BV by Petronas Carigali
White Nile (5B) Ltd in June 2003, Mr Ward assumed a similar position with
Petronas Carigali White Nile (5B) Ltd to that which he had held at Lundin Sudan
BV.
