Appointment of Non-Executive Director

AFC Energy (AIM: AFC), a leading provider of hydrogen power generator technologies, is pleased to announce the appointment of Duncan Neale to the board as Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit Committee effective 1 August 2023. 

Mr Neale is an experienced Non-Executive Director with a strong emphasis on the energy sector with current Board positions held with Gresham House Energy Storge Fund plc and Atrato Onsite Energy plc.  He has held numerous senior finance roles over 20 years, including Chief Financial Officer for listed and private companies with an audit, corporate finance, fundraising and M&A background. 

Duncan is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Duncan replaces Joe Mangion who steps down from the Board on 31 July 2023.   

Commenting on his appointment, Gary Bullard, Chair of AFC Energy, said: "We are delighted to welcome Duncan to the Board as a Chair of the Audit Committee.  Duncan brings a long history and sectoral experience in the energy market to this role and I believe he will be a strong addition to our Board.  I also, on behalf of the Board, wish to thank and acknowledge Joe's contribution to the Board over many years, and wish him and his family all the very best for his retirement."

Mr Neale does not hold any ordinary shares nor options over ordinary shares in the Company.
