('Cheerful Scout' or 'the Company')
Cheerful Scout, the AIM listed multi media and animations specialist has gained
preferred supplier status with Getronics, a world leader in the provision of
independent solutions and services in Information and Communication Technology
(ICT).
Cheerful Scout, who specialise in editing corporate programming, creating
graphics and designing animations and special video effects, will produce
internal and external corporate videos for Getronics starting with a video
presentation production on 'The Future of IT'.
Gary Fitzpatrick Operations Director of Cheerful Scout said: 'Gaining preferred
supplier status with a company of Getronics' stature provides a great
endorsement to Cheerful and our production capabilities. We are looking forward
to generating an extremely strong relationship which will help us further build
our profile in the business communications market.
'The corporate video market has a projected turnover in excess of £600 million
and the future growth is envisaged at 5% per annum. Obviously there is huge
market potential for us and we want to position ourselves to become a leading
player in our field.'
Getronics, through consulting, integrating, implementing and managing
Infrastructure Solutions and E-Business Solutions, helps many of the world's
largest global and local organisations to maximise the value of their technology
investment and improve interaction with their customers. Getronics works with
nine out of the top ten banks and building societies in the UK and has an
impressive client list including Abbey National, Alliance and Leicester,
Barclays Bank, Cable and Wireless, Ford, Merrill Lynch and many others.
Cheerful Scout recently listed on AIM, raising £850,000 before expenses to
expand and develop the existing operations. The Company started trading in 1995
to supply editing and video graphic services with an emphasis on 'business to
business' communication. Within this field, the Company specialises in editing
corporate programming, creating graphics and designing animations and special
video effects, with clients including the BBC and Channel Four. The Company also
develops concepts, writes scripts and produces a host of internal and external
communication needs for its clients. Recently, it has diversified into
commercial DVD including designing, encoding, authoring and creating a variety
of well-known DVD titles for high-street distributors.
