ADVANCED MEDICAL SOLUTIONS GROUP PLC (the 'Company')

On 3 January 2001, the Company received a notification that Prudential
Portfolio Managers Limited ('PPM') has been renamed as M&G Investment
Management Limited ('MIML') and that all future notifications on behalf of the
companies within the Prudential plc Group of Companies will be made by MIML.

MIML have advised that their current interest in the ordinary share capital of
the Company comprises 5,410,484 shares, representing 5.78% of that class.
