Donald Evans to be New Chief Executive

Winsford, 18 January 2000.  Advanced Medical Solutions Group plc., (AMS),
today announced that Donald Evans, currently Managing Director of the Advanced
Woundcare division and a Director of the Company will assume the role of Chief
Executive with immediate effect.

Roy Smith, the current Chief Executive, has indicated that it is his intention
to resign from the Board of Directors and the Company at the AGM.  Don and Roy
will work closely together over the intervening period to facilitate the
transition.

James Noble, Chairman, commented:  'We are pleased to have a Director of the
calibre of Don Evans to assume the role of Chief Executive.  His experience
will ensure that the process of commercialisation, begun by Roy, will
continue'.

He added, 'AMS will continue to invest to exploit growth opportunities offered
by the consumer woundcare market and to seek additional marketing partners for
its innovative product range.  In addition, maximising the commercial
potential of the Group's core polymer technology remains a high priority'.
