This disclosure relates to a single transaction of which notification was
received under paragraph 3.1.2. of the Disclosure Rules and section 324 of the
Companies Act 1985.

The Company was notified today that Linda James, a person connected to Keith
James, a Non-Executive Director of Admiral Group plc, purchased 2,500 Ordinary
shares of 0.1p each at a price of 402p per share on 15th September 2005. This
increases Mr James' beneficial interest from 42,000 Ordinary shares to 44,500
Ordinary shares.
