UPDATE ON ISSUED SHARE CAPITAL

Following the issue of 528,000 shares subscribed for by Capita Trustees Limited,
as trustee of the Admiral Group plc Senior Executive Restricted Share Plan at
the nominal value of 0.1 pence per ordinary share, the share capital of Admiral
Group plc is now 260,720,271 Ordinary Shares of 0.1p each, of which 1,213,000
shares (being those issued to Capita Trustees Limited, as trustee of the Admiral
Group plc Senior Executive Restricted Share Plan) has currently waived the
rights to dividends. The 528,000 shares are included within current block
listings granted by the UK Listing Authority and the London Stock Exchange.
