                         APPOINTMENT OF CHIEF EXECUTIVE


Actif Group plc is delighted to announce the appointment of Mark Stephen Evans
as its new Chief Executive from lst August 2001.   Mark has been working with
Actif on a consultancy basis since April 2001.


Prior to his appointment, Mark Evans was Managing Director of GWS Group, a
specialist provider of Project Management Services to a range of blue chip
retail clients.


Aged 42 years, Mark has extensive general management consultancy and retail
marketing experience.  He has held director posts at Wickes Ltd, Grattan PLC
and a senior management post at MFI Group.
