Standard Life UK Smaller Companies Trust PLC ("the Company")

Share Buy-Back

On 05 December 2014, Standard Life UK Smaller Companies Trust PLC purchased 187,489 shares of its own 25p ordinary shares at 276.04 pence per share.  These shares will be held in treasury.

Following the transaction, the Company's issued ordinary share capital is 71,170,514 (excluding treasury shares) ordinary shares of 25p each.  The number of ordinary shares of 25p held in treasury is 456,661.

The total number of voting rights in the Company is 71,170,514 and this figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in the Company, under the Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
