API Group plc ('the Company')

Date:  23 August 2007

Application has been made to the UK Listing Authority and to the London Stock
Exchange for a total of 77,302 ordinary shares of 25p each in the Company to be
admitted to the Official List and to trading on the London Stock Exchange to
satisfy an award of shares in respect of the API Group plc Unapproved Share
Option Plan 2002.

Admission is expected to become effective and trading is expected to commence on
29 August 2007.
