The Board of API Group (the 'Company') received notification yesterday that
Hermes Administration Services Ltd has holdings as follows:

The Trustees of the BT Pension Scheme, Hermes Investment Management Limited and
Hermes Pensions Management Limited together hold 4,739,211 Ordinary Shares of
25p each, representing 14.00% of the issued share capital of the Company.

Of these 4,739,211 Ordinary Shares, Possfund Nominees Limited hold 2,220,721
shares representing 6.56%, and the remainder are held in the name of Britel Fund
Nominees Limited.  750,000 of these shares are loaned to third parties.
