STANDARD LIFE INVESTMENTS PROPERTY INCOME TRUST LIMITED

Appointment of Director

Standard Life Investments Property Income Trust Limited (the "Company") is pleased to announce that with effect from 1 July 2010 Sally Ann (Susie) Farnon will be appointed as a Non-Executive Director of the Company following the resignation of John Hallam with effect from 30 June 2010.  The Board would like to thank John for all his efforts on behalf of the Company and wishes him well in his future endeavours.

Susie Farnon is currently a Commissioner of the Guernsey Financial Services Commission and is a director of a number of private property and investment companies.

Susie was a Banking and Finance Partner with KPMG Channel Islands from 1990 until 2001. She was Head of Audit in the Channel Islands from 1999-2001. She has also served as president of The Guernsey Audit Commission and The Guernsey Public Accounts Committee.

David Moore (Chairman) said "while we are sorry to be losing the experience and support of John Hallam after many years of service we are very pleased to have been able to secure a replacement of the calibre and experience of Susie Farnon to compliment the skills available to the Company at board level."
