The Board of the Morgan Grenfell Latin American Companies Trust PLC
announces that the Company has today 19 January 2000 purchased for
cancellation 100,000 ordinary shares in the Company at a price of 82.0p per
share.
Following this purchase there are now 61,736,050 ordinary shares in
issue.
