ABERDEEN NEW DAWN INVESTMENT TRUST PLC (THE "COMPANY")

Aberdeen New Dawn Investment Trust PLC announces that Alan Henderson will step down as Chairman of the Company with effect from the AGM to be held on 22 August 2012, and will retire from the Board on 31 December 2012. He will be succeeded as Chairman by David Shearer, the current Deputy Chairman. Richard Hills will become Senior Independent Director and John Lorimer will become Chairman of the Audit Committee at that time.

In order to ensure appropriate succession planning, the Nomination Committee has commenced a search process for additional non-executive directors.  A further announcement will be made in due course.
