The Board of the Morgan Grenfell Equity Income Trust PLC announces that the
Company has today purchased for cancellation 250,000 warrants to subscribe for
ordinary shares in the Company at a price of 123.0p per warrant.

Following this purchase there are now 1,439,969 warrants outstanding.
