The Board of Deutsche Equity Income Trust PLC announces that Mr David John
Morrison, the founder and chief executive of venture capital investment adviser
Prospect Investment Management Limited, has today been appointed as a non-
executive director of the Company. Mr Morrison started his career with 3i Group
plc before joining the venture capital fund manager Abingworth Management
Limited and was subsequently a director of Botts & Company, a private investment
bank. He is also a director of Royal Horticultural Society Enterprises Limited,
The International Institute For Strategic Studies, Blue Heath Direct Limited,
Vibration Technology Limited, Luckington Properties Limited, MGt Trustee
Limited, MGt plc, The Houghton Club Limited, Star Technology Group Limited,
Venture Production plc, Arundel House Enterprises Limited, PayPoint Limited,
PayPoint Collections Limited, PayPoint Retail Solutions Limited and PayPoint
Network Limited. He was formerly a director or Themis FTSE Fledgling Index
Tracker Trust PLC and Walkclose Limited. We are aware of no further disclosable
details under paragraph 6.F.2(b) to (g) of The Listing Rules.
