Further to the announcement released by Standard Life Equity Income Trust plc (the "Company") dated 16 September 2015 regarding a block listing application in respect of 3,447,669 ordinary shares of 25 pence each (the "Shares"), which is expected to become effective on 21 September 2015, the Company intends to issue the Shares from time to time in order to satisfy ongoing investor demand and to ensure an efficient market in the Company's shares by addressing periodic market imbalances between supply and demand and managing the share price premium to net asset value.
