Aberdeen Asian Income Fund Limited (the "Company")

Exercise of Warrants

The Company announces the allotment on 19 October 2010 of 885,062 Ordinary shares of no par value ("Ordinary Shares") under its block listing facility following the exercise of 885,062 Warrants to subscribe for Ordinary Shares in the period to 13 October 2010. 

Following this exercise of Warrants, the total number of Ordinary Shares in issue is 116,485,062 with each share holding one voting right.  Therefore, the total number of voting rights in the Company is 116,485,062 and this figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in the Company, under the Disclosure and Transparency Rules. The total number of Warrants in issue is now 20,953,939.
