The Board of Aberforth Smaller Companies Trust plc is pleased to announce that
all the resolutions proposed at the Annual General Meeting held on 29 February
2000 were passed by Shareholders.  A total of 39,136,064 proxy votes were
received in respect of all the Ordinary and Special Resolutions and of these
in excess of 99% were cast in favour of all resolutions.
