On the dates listed below it was announced that 3i Group plc (the 'Company') had
purchased: 1,000,000; 650,000; and 800,000 respectively of its own ordinary
shares of 73 19/22p each ('Shares'), for cancellation. The Company now confirms
that these Shares were cancelled as follows:
