2004 Performance Share Awards under the 3i Group Discretionary Share Plan

Pursuant to the rules of The 3i Group Discretionary Share Plan ('the Plan'), on
18 December 2007 the Remuneration Committee of 3i Group plc ('the Company')
considered the performance condition attached to the award made to D R Collis, a
person discharging managerial responsibilities ('PDMR'), under that Plan on 8
December 2004 and determined that the performance condition had been satisfied
as to 70.4%. As a result, D S Collis forfeited 4,421 ordinary shares of 73 19/
22p each ('Ordinary Shares') and 13,299 B Shares in the Company which will be
transferred to The 3i Group Employee Trust.
