Wood Group signs a 16-year, $88 million Term Maintenance Agreement (TMA) for two 7FA+e combustion turbines with the New York Power Authority 17 July 2007 - Wood Group Gas Turbine Services, a division of international energy services company John Wood Group PLC ("Wood Group"), has signed a Term Maintenance Agreement (TMA) with the New York Power Authority (NYPA) to provide parts, repairs, field services and risk management for the two GE Frame 7FA+e gas turbines at NYPA's 500 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant, located in Astoria, Queens, New York. This contract marks the first TMA between Wood Group and NYPA and further demonstrates Wood Group's capability to provide superior services for advanced technology gas turbines. The contract was a direct result of a collaborative effort between Wood Group and NYPA and was tailored to meet the Power Authority's needs. By providing the full range of services and showing a willingness to be creative with a flexible, customer-centric contractual structure, WG was able to provide a complete and highly competitive solution for NYPA.
