John Wood Group PLC ("Wood Group") is pleased to announce the appointment of
David Woodward as a Non-Executive Director as from 23rd May 2007. This
appointment will be subject to approval by Shareholders at the Company's AGM on
that day.

In accordance with paragraph 9.6.13 (1) of the Listing Rules, David Woodward
has advised that, during the past five years, he has been appointed as a
director to Aabar Petroleum Investment Company, a publicly listed company
registered in Abu Dhabi.

David Woodward confirms that there are no other details which require to be
disclosed under the Listing Rules LR 9.6.13 R (2) to (6).

David Woodward does not have any interest in the shares of Wood Group.
