            APPOINTMENT OF DAVID RADCLIFFE AND MARTIN SAWKINS AS
                    INDEPENDENT NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS

Wincanton is pleased to announce the appointment of two new independent
non-executive directors. David Radcliffe and Martin Sawkins will join the
Wincanton Board with effect from 27th July 2012.

David Radcliffe is Chief Executive of Hogg Robinson Group plc, a position he
has held since 1997. Martin Sawkins is Group HR Director of Rentokil Initial
plc, having been appointed in 2008. He previously held similar roles at
HomeServe plc, the AA Limited, and at Centrica Home and Road Services.

Both will join the Audit, Remuneration and Nomination Committees from their
dates of appointment. Martin Sawkins will also chair the Remuneration
Committee.

It is also announced that Neil England will be retiring as a non-executive
director of Wincanton with effect from 31 July 2012. Neil leaves with the
Board's best wishes for the future and with thanks for the personal commitment
he has shown to Wincanton during his time on the board.

Paul Venables will assume the role of Senior Independent non-executive Director
with effect from 1 August 2012.
