                            Director's appointment                             

The Board of Tullett Prebon plc is pleased to announce the appointment as an
independent non-executive director of Rupert Robson.

Rupert has held a number of senior roles in City institutions, most recently
Global Head, Financial Institutions Group, Corporate, Investment Banking and
Markets at HSBC between 2003 and 2006 and prior to that Head of European
Insurance, Investment Banking at Citigroup Global Markets.  There are no
disclosures required under rule 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules of the Financial
Services Authority in connection with Rupert's appointment.
