STRATEGIC EQUITY CAPITAL PLC ("the Company")

The Company was informed on 23 October 2013 that Jonathan Morgan, Chairman of
SVG Investment Managers, the Investment Manager of the Company, on 21 October
sold through his SIPP 900,000 Ordinary 10 pence shares of the Company and
purchased the same shares through a bond provided by Scottish Widows/Clerical
Medical at a price of 134.38 pence per share.

Following this transaction, Jonathan Morgan's interest in the Company's shares
remains unchanged. He is interested in a total of 1,750,000 Ordinary 10 pence
Shares (representing 2.8208% of the issued share capital).
