Strategic Equity Capital plc ("the Company") was informed on 18 October 2013
that Stuart Widdowson, Strategic Fund Manager at SVG Investment Managers, the
Investment Manager of the Company, had on that day purchased through a SIPP
74,000 Ordinary 10 pence shares of the Company at a price of 135 pence per
share.

Following this transaction, Stuart Widdowson and connected persons are
interested in a total of 198,000 Ordinary 10 pence shares (representing 0.3192%
of the shares in issue), as follows:

Stuart Widdowson - 183,400 shares (155,400 of which are held in a SIPP)

Anna Widdowson - 13,000 shares (of which 6,000 are held in a SIPP)

Nicholas Widdowson - 800 shares

Patrick Widdowson - 800 shares
