Software Radio Technology plc (the "Company") received notification on 23
December 2005 from Gartmore Investment Limited that Nortrust Nominee Limited
("Nortrust") has a reportable interest in the Company as a result of a purchase
of 793,169 ordinary shares at a price of 42p per share on 16 December 2005.

The notification states that Nortrust is the registered holder of 2,316,667
ordinary shares in the Company, representing 3.36 per cent. of the issued share
capital. The beneficial owner of the holding is Strathclyde Pension Fund.
