SOFTWARE RADIO TECHNOLOGY PLC Chinese order for US$0.5m received for AIS Class B Transponders The Directors of Software Radio Technology plc ("SRT" or the "Company") are pleased to announce that SRT Marine Technology Limited ("SRT Marine") has received an order for over US$0.5m from Chinese Company Tianjin Broadcasting and Communications Co. Ltd. ("TCB") for the purchase of 2,500 Class B AIS Transponders. TCB are a major supplier of telecommunications equipment into the professional and commercial markets within China. TCB have built a significant capability in AIS and have a number of significant opportunities within the Chinese market which has more than 200,000 vessels with a potential requirement for AIS technology. The Chinese authorities have already rolled out a complete AIS network along their coast line and are now looking to install a similar network on their inland waterways.
