AIS Agreement

Software Radio Technology plc ("SRT" or the Company) SRT expands AIS customer network Following the successful launch of SRT's low cost AIS transponder solution for small commercial and leisure boats, the Directors of the Company are delighted to announce the signing of a further two agreements. These agreements, with New Brunswick Technologies in the USA and Pronav in Norway, take the total distributor and licensee base to 17 companies around the world. The SRT AIS solution provides customers with a fully compliant module around which they can create their own unique product. The AIS market has been growing since the 2002 IMO (International Maritime Organisation) global mandate for all vessels over 300 tonnes. Today AIS is actively being used as a safety device by leisure boat owners and a tracking tool by port authorities and other commercial marine operators. However, Directors of SRT expect the main demand for AIS to come via national mandates commencing during 2007 and believe that the growing and diverse customer base places the Company in an excellent position in this market. Simon Tucker, SRT's Managing Director said, "We are delighted to have entered into agreements with New Brunswick Technologies and Pronav. As with all our customers, we will work closely with them to develop their unique AIS offerings and to maximise the return from their established sales channels. We continue to negotiate with other carefully selected companies and expect our customer base to continue to expand."
