This notification is made in accordance with DTR 3.1.4(1)(a).

On 25 February 2008, awards were granted under the Spectris Performance Share
Plan ("Plan") to certain directors and persons discharging managerial
responsibilities.

The awards were granted in the form of nominal cost options with an exercise
price of 5 pence per share. The awards became exercisable on 25 February 2011
for a period of seven years.

On 10 March 2011, the following individual exercised his award in accordance
with the rules of the Plan over the number of shares set out in the table
below.
