DISCLOSURE UNDER CHAPTER 2 SECTION 9 OF THE SECURITIES MARKET ACT

Sampo plc (business code 01422113-3) has received a disclosure in accordance
with Chapter 2 Section 9 of the Securities Market Act regarding Sampo plc's
shares, according to which the holding of Morgan Stanley & Co International plc
(reg.no 2068222) exceeded on July 24 one twentieth (1/20) of Sampo plc's shares
and voting rights.
