Transaction in Own Shares

                          Purchase of own securities                           

On 29 April 2008, Reckitt Benckiser Group plc acquired from Credit Suisse
Securities (Europe) Limited, 60,000 of its ordinary shares at an average price
of £29.1176 per ordinary share. These shares will be held as treasury shares.

Following the purchase and non-cancellation of these ordinary shares, the
Company has:

 1. 11,721,744 shares held as treasury shares ; and
   
 2. 710,646,768 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares)
