Transaction in Own Shares

                          Purchase of own securities                           

On 13 August 2007, Reckitt Benckiser plc acquired from Credit Suisse Securities
(Europe) Limited 100,000 of its ordinary shares at an average price of 2734.80
pence per ordinary share. These shares will be held as treasury shares.

Following the purchase and non-cancellation of these ordinary shares, the
Company has:

 1. 7,734,381 shares held as treasury shares ; and
   
 2. 714,620,166 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares)
