Additional information on share transaction by Dr Peter Harf.

The share options in Benckiser NV covered in this announcement were granted to
Dr. Peter Harf when he was Chairman of the Management Board of Benckiser NV.
They would have expired at the end of 2002 (five years from grant) if not
exercised. Dr Harf has exercised all the options and sold only sufficient
shares to enable him to fund retention of the remainder. Prior to this
exercise, Dr Harf already owned 657,240 shares in Reckitt Benckiser plc.
Following the exercise, his holding will amount to 799,518 shares.
