Pendragon advises that, pursuant to the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency
Rules, it was notified on 02 September 2008 that following a transaction on 01
September 2008, Axa S.A. and its group of companies has a notifiable interest
in the voting rights over 33,145,928 ordinary shares of 5p, representing 5.05%
of the voting rights in the issued ordinary share capital of Pendragon.
