On 5 August 2004 Aviva plc confirmed that, following a transaction on 3 August
2004 its total notifiable interest in the ordinary shares in Pendragon has
increased to 3,978,550 shares, representing 3.03% of Pendragon's issued share
capital.

On 5 August 2004 Aegon UK plc Group of Companies confirmed that, following a
recent transaction its total holding of ordinary shares in Pendragon no longer
constitutes a notifiable interest in the share capital of Pendragon.
