One Media iP Group Plc ("One Media" or "the Group" or "the Company") Acquisition of the Point Classics catalogue of rights One Media iP Group Plc (AIM: OMIP), the digital media content provider, which consolidates, exploits and monetises intellectual property rights around music and video, is pleased to announce that it has acquired from Telos Holdings Inc. ("Telos") of Los Angeles, USA, the entire rights to the Masters and all assets for the classic music catalogue known as `Point Classics.' The deal, which comprises over 4,000 classical recordings and all corporate logos, registrations and distribution rights, was signed for a total consideration of USD1,600,000 to be satisfied from existing cash resources. The rights to the Point Classics catalogue have been owned by Telos/Point Classics since its acquisition in 2000 and a solid profitable income stream for the content has been built. In addition to developing a worldwide reputation in digital exploitation and physical licensing to record labels the catalogue has also been the subject of synchronisation deals with film and TV companies. Point Classics is currently one of the leading digital classical music catalogues and comprises many of the great masterpieces by the world's greatest composers. Works composed by Vivaldi, Verdi, Tchaikovsky, Strauss, Smetana, Schumann, Schubert, Rossini, Ravel, Pachelbel, Mozart, Hadyn, Handel, Dvorak, Brahms, Bizet, Beethoven, Bach and Albinoni to name just some of the over 100 composers within the catalogue of rights.
