CHANGE OF INVESTMENT MANAGER

New Star Investment Trust plc, (the `Company'), whose objective is to achieve
long-term capital growth, announces that Brompton Asset Management LLP will
commence acting as the Company's Investment Manager with effect from 1 January
2010.
