AGM Statement

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 9 December 2002 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING At today's Annual General Meeting of betinternet.com plc (`betinternet' or `the Company'), the global on-line gaming company, it was announced that Burnbrae Limited had exercised the option, which it was granted when it entered into its Subscription Agreement with the Company in December 2001, to nominate a non-executive director to the Board of the Company. As a result, Mr Jim Mellon, a nominee of Burnbrae Limited, has today been invited by the Board to become non-executive Chairman of betinternet, with effect from 1 January 2003. The Board of betinternet stated in its recently published Report and Accounts that it was seeking to separate the roles of Chairman and Managing Director. Following Mr. Mellon's appointment, Mr Vincent Caldwell will remain as Managing Director of betinternet. The Company was also able to confirm that the subscription agreement by Burnbrae Limited and others for 8,000,000 new ordinary 1p shares issued at 10p will be fulfilled and the Company expects that the cash consideration of £ 800,000 will be transferred on Tuesday 10 December 2002. Following the subscription, Burnbrae Limited will have a holding in the Company of 21.4% of the issued share capital.
