MONTANARO UK SMALLER COMPANIES INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

The Company announces that James Robinson, a non-executive Director of the
Company, today purchased 1,500 ordinary shares at a price of £4.571p each.
As a result of this transaction, Mr Robinson has a total interest in 4,000
ordinary shares representing 0.01% of the issued ordinary shares.
The shares are jointly owned by JP and SE Robinson.
