Purchase of shares for cancellation

Matrix Income & Growth VCT plc announces that on 4 September 2008, it purchased
a total of 326,246 Ordinary Shares of the Company for cancellation at a price
of 82.2035 pence per share.

Following this purchase the Company now has 20,952,925 Ordinary Shares in
issue.
