Purchase of shares for cancellation

Matrix Income & Growth 4 VCT plc announces that on 7 October 2009 it purchased
for cancellation 12,500 of its Ordinary Shares at a price of 79.00 pence per
share.

Following this purchase the Company now has 19,998,300 Ordinary Shares in
issue.
