Purchase of shares for cancellation

Matrix Income & Growth 4 VCT plc announces that on 28 August 2009 it purchased
for cancellation 27,500 of its Ordinary Shares at a price of 78.46 pence per
share.

Following this purchase the Company now has 20,010,800 Ordinary Shares in
issue.
