Resignation of Director

Manchester & London Investment Trust plc ('the Company') announces that Mr.
Martin John Wilbraham has tendered, and the board has accepted, his resignation
as a non-executive Director of the Company, with effect from 31 July 2009.

Chairman Peter Stanley stated "On behalf of the Board and all shareholders, I
would like to thank Mr. Wilbraham for his valuable contribution during his
