Majedie Investments PLC - Directors' Shareholdings

The Company announces that a total of 147,072 conditional `TSR-based' share
awards and 29,418 Matching Awards were granted on 3 December 2007 under the
rules of the Company's Long Term Incentive Plan (LTIP). Directors of the
Company to whom share awards have been granted are as follows:

The TSR-based awards have been granted at nil consideration and relate to
ordinary shares of 10p each. The vesting of the awards at an aggregate exercise
price of £1 is contingent upon the satisfaction of specified performance
conditions over a fixed five year period ending 3 December 2012.

The matching awards relate to 50% of the bonuses in respect of special
dividends received from Majedie Asset Management Limited, which were the
subject of a resolution approved at the last annual general meeting. The awards
have been granted at nil consideration and relate to ordinary shares of 10p
each. They have an aggregate exercise price of £1 but have no performance
conditions attached apart from the continuation of employment with the Company
for three years from the date of the awards.
