Quester VCT plc (`the company')

Appointment of new Director

The Board of Quester VCT plc announces that Andrew Holmes was reappointed to
the Board, effective as at 13 February 2006.

Andrew Holmes is Chairman of the Company's Manager, Quester Management Company
Limited (`Quester').

He had resigned from the Board of the Company, together with John Spooner, on
31 January 2005, when the merger discussions started with Quester VCT 2 plc and
Quester VCT 3 plc. As they also sat on those Boards they could not participate
as Directors during the merger discussions. Since the conclusion of the merger,
there had been a reorganisation of the management structure within Quester.
Simon Acland has taken over direct responsibility for the investment process
from Andrew Holmes, and now reports to the Board in that capacity on behalf of
the Managers while Andrew Holmes remains as Chairman of Quester.

The Board believes that Andrew Holmes' long experience in early stage
investing, as well as his deep understanding of the Company, should be directly
available to the Board, and his appointment is in line with current industry
practice.

Andrew Holmes continues to be a Director of Quester VCT 4 plc and Quester VCT 5
plc.

No further disclosures are required under Rule 9.6.13 (2), (3), (4), (5) or (6)
of the Listing Rules.
