Michael Roney - Appointment

In accordance with paragraph 9.6.14 of the Listing Rules, Johnson Matthey Plc
announces that Michael Roney, a non-executive director, senior independent
director and chairman of the Management Development and Remuneration Committee,
has been appointed a non-executive director of Brown-Forman Corporation, a
company listed on the New York Stock Exchange, with effect from 27 March 2014.
